What are our organizational goals?
-
Making the school open for all social strata and groups of the
Jewish and the Arab communities in the Negev.
-
Exposing the children, the parents and residents of the South to the school’s values.
-
Shaping an organizational-educational infrastructure that enables empowering and development of the professional
staff in the social and pedagogical areas, and encourages responsibility and initiative at school and in the
Southern community.
-
Developing organizational instruments that would encourage parental involvement in the school, preschool and
kindergarten administration and adjusting the educational approach to the children's needs.
How do we implement this?
In order to realize the goals presented here, we have established the following policy and instruments in a number of
fields:
-
The enrolment of new students into the school takes place only after the parents’ visit and introductory
meeting
with the school administration. This is done in order to acquaint the parents with the unique character of the
institution and to clarify to them the principles upon which we act and educate, and to make sure that the family
in
its turn is obligated to them.
-
In order to enable the school to receive those who are interested but have no economic possibility, there is an
option of applying for a stipend.
-
The school calendar includes holidays and memory dates of both communities, while carefully preserving the
number
of study vs. vacation days per year prescribed by the Ministry of Education
-
We have established a regular work of the Steering Committee that includes representatives of all the partners:
the
Ministry of Education, the municipality, Hagar and Hand-in-Hand Associations, and representatives of the parents.
-
The work with the educational staff on the yearly study programs is a deep learning process that involves
making
necessary changes and drawing conclusions. A great attention is also paid to the development of the staff and
their
personal and professional skills.
-
We take care to maintain close contact with the parents, the community, and the supporting and donating
organizations in order to expose them to our educational and communal ideas and activities.
