What are our purposes and goals in the field of education and imparting values?

  • Establishing a social-educational framework based on the values
of multiculturalism, tolerance and acceptance ofFriendship difference, while preserving the unique identity of every learner and every group.
  • Educating the children for active citizenship, based on humanist and egalitarian values, and reinforcing their ability to cope with discrimination and prejudice.
  • Development of Jewish-Arab community life along the same principles as the educational institution and in close connection to it, and enabling fluent dialogue between parents and educators from different communities.
  • Implementing a calendar and a rich schedule of holidays that include culture, customs and heritage of the two communities.
  • Introducing the basics of the two historical narratives, Arab and Jewish, in the framework of development of individual and group identity.

How do we implement this?

In order to achieve these goals, we create an educational and social experience based on tolerance and openness during all the curricular and extracurricular activities, both for the children and for their families. The activities are conducted in a symmetrical way in different senses: in the number of children, the work of the staff, development and imparting of the different study contents and themes pertaining to each group. During the academic year, teachers, students and parents celebrate holidays and cultural events of the two communities together, while the events are centered around encounter, learning and live experience. The school encourages and helps parents and staff to develop social and community activities for the families. Participation of volunteers from the “Tsofim” (Scouts) youth movement, from the "Ajic" organization and the project "Zahav ba-Gan" conducted by the Ministry of Education (road safety for preschoolers), serve the students, the staff and the parents as a good example of social responsibility and giving.
